Sponsors of Carin' Belle:
Real VIC's (Very Important Colonels)
Aircraft sponsors of planes in the collection of the Commemorative Air Force are very special. These members have stepped forward to make a significant monetary contribution ($1500) for the acquisition or continuing operation of a CAF aircraft. The L-5 Stinson of the Ohio Valley Wing is the beneficiary of several generous aircraft sponsors. Our plane sponsors are:
Col. Stanley Condon, A WWII veteran and CAF member for 25 years, Gone West May 1, 2008.
Col. Paul Finnegan, a Life Member of the Commemorative Air Force, former Master Sergeant in the USAF, and a sponsor at twice the basic sponsor level.
Col. Jacqueline Ohlinger, who became a colonel in 1989.
Col. Richard Ohlinger, a sponsor at twice the basic amount and a former
wing leader who has been in the ranks of the CAF since 1985.
Col. Esther Ohlinger, also at 2x the basic sponsor level, now deceased.
Col. Donald Peters, an Air Force veteran and former airline captain, who
joined the CAF in 1976.
Col. Donald Rapp, active in the OVW and CAF in previous years, Gone West May 27, 2007.
Col. Curt Rowe, who became a CAF member in 1981 and is a pilot of Carin' Belle.
Col. John Wasiloff, CAF Life Member and USAF veteran, who also sponsors other CAF aircraft.
Col. Richard Goodman, USAAF veteran, pilot, and Gold Life Member of the CAF.
